Q: DO YOU HAVE A RETURN POLICY OR GUARANTEE?
A: Your complete satisfaction is paramount to us at Hides and Co. If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase after shipping and receiving your item, you may return the item(s) within 7 days of receiving your order for a refund of merchandise cost as long as the product clearly has not been used and is in fully resalable condition (no stains, no damage, no abuse). All returns must have its original packaging with freight prepaid and insured. All returns will be assessed a 45% restocking fee. Returns must be made within 15 days of "Return Authorization" date.
Exceptions: Custom/special orders are non-refundable / non-cancelable.
Any returns MUST BE NOTED, with a full description, on the front of the manifest or bill of lading in order to be recognized as valid. Prior to any returns, customer must contact HidesandCo.com for written authorization including a RMA#.
In the event you cancel your item while en route or if the package is considered "undeliverable" by the freight company at destination, you will be responsible for all local storage or shipping and handling cost back to the warehouse. Your credit card will be refunded minus the shipping cost plus a 45% restocking fee once it has been inspected at the warehouse.
Q: WHEN WILL I BE CHARGED FOR MY ORDER?
A: As a custom furnishings retailer items, your credit card will charged once you have placed your order as all items are made to order. HidesandCo.com has to pay the manufacturer at the time order submittal. It is highly recommended that if you are looking for a custom color piece of furniture, please order color swatches prior to placing your order. If you are unsure whether your item is a "custom" color, please contact us. We will help!
Q: WHAT HAPPENS IF MY ORDER OR SPECIAL CUSTOM ORDER IS DAMAGED UPON ARRIVAL?
A: In the event that your product arrives damaged from the freight company, you immediately write down any and all "EXCEPTIONS" on the Delivery Receipt. Please do this prior to the carrier leaving. Our freight is insured and you have every right to file a freight claim with the carrier if they did not handle your products properly. If you see visible damage to the cartons or the product, you can choose to (1) keep the product and file a claim (ask for a claim form from the driver), or (2) refuse the product and have it sent back to the Hides and Co.. It is best to document any problems with a digital camera if possible. If you wish to decline a replacement, a 45% restocking fee will be assessed once the item has been received by the Hides and Co.
Q: WHO DO I NEED TO SPEAK WITH CONCERNING WARRANTY ISSUES?
We will be pleased to assist you in obtaining replacements or repairs in the unlikely event of manufacturer defects. Please contact us.
Q: DO YOU CHARGE SALES TAX?
A: Sales tax is charged to New York residents only.
Q: Do you offer free shipping and where do you ship to?
A: We offer free shipping via FedEx Home Delivery or USPS for all orders. Free curbside shipping for all furniture orders to every order within the 48 continuous United States. For an additional fee, we at Hides and Co. can arrange for White Glove Delivery Service. White Glove Service includes: Bringing the item into your premises, professional unpacking, and assembly. For international shipping please contact us.
Q: WHEN DO MY ITEMS SHIP?
A: For in-stock items, these pieces will generally ship out in 7-21 days.
Freight shipments may take longer. Custom orders will generally take 8-12 weeks. We will make every effort, humanly possible to keep you "in the loop."Though our site lists several items that come in a "stocked color", there is still chance that your item may be sold out due to its popularity. Another factor you may consider is that due to the amount of orders, there is also a chance that even if item is backordered and due to arrive at "X" time, that this shipment may be pre sold prior to it coming into the warehouse. Q: WILL ALL OF MY ITEMS COME ON THE SAME SHIPMENT?
A: A good rule of thumb is if your purchase contains items from a single manufacturer. If you ordered items from different manufacturers, your items will generally be delivered at different times. Please make yourself available for receiving these separate shipments. We will make every reasonable effort to get your shipment at your home or business at the time requested. The Modern Classics we have available on our site are inspired pieces from designers like Mies van der Rohe, George Nelson, Harry Bertoia, Josef Hoffmann, Le Corbusier, Isamu Noguchi, Marcel Breuer, Eileen Gray, and Poul Kjaerholm. These pieces are not an original, nor are they made by Knoll Inc, Herman Miller or Cassina, etc.... Hides and Co.’s versions of these products are high quality reproductions of the originals, yet physically different in measurements, specifications and significantly less in price.
